A Pembrokeshire company has driven new life into a redundant building on Haverfordwest’s Withybush Business Park.
Greens of Haverfordwest have acquired the empty 16,000sqft unit to set up a showroom for both new and used cars.
This latest development for Greens will create three additional jobs,“ said company director Mike Mathias.“We are grateful to Pembrokeshire County Council who, as the landlords of the building, have been very helpful in assisting us in our acquisition. The building has been unoccupied for many years, but is eminently suitable for our new showroom where we are now able to accommodate up to 80 cars under cover. And to complement our new facilities, we are now able to give customers a finance decision within ten minutes, meaning that all cars are available to drive away within an hour of purchase.”
Greens has just become only the third company in Wales currently appointed to sell Subaru, and this rugged vehicle breed that has earned a top reputation within the agricultural community had its local dealership launch at the Pembrokeshire County Show. The Subaru range now has pride of place in the new Withybush showroom, alongside the popular Great Wall pick-ups and an extensive display of quality used cars and 4x4s.
We were looking to expand into a quality vehicle that will suit the market in this part of the world, and the Subaru fitted the bill perfectly,” said Mr Mathias. “The Subaru is known for its performance on the world rally stage, but more importantly, it is an all-terrain workhorse and available at a fraction of the price of some equivalents. Its four wheel drive capability, and its ability to cope with all kinds of conditions, on and off road, has always made it a big favourite with farmers, and in fact we sold our first Subaru before the ink was dry on our contract with the company.”
